**Job Summary**

**What is the opportunity?**

The Actuarial Associate plays a key role in the Par Inforce Management team to focus on actuarial modeling and assist with data modeling. Separate from the modeling team, this role is the actuarial modeling expert when it comes to model enhancement and ad-hoc analysis to the existing PAR AXIS model. This role collaborates across different teams to understand the existing AXIS model and implement framework to perform further analysis. In the meantime, this role will support the experience study of PAR products to review various actuarial assumptions.

**What will you do?**
- Support the review and refresh the IFRS17 reporting of PAR products. Validate the CSM/Loss Component balance.
- Support the enhancement of the Earnings by Source (EBS) statement by modernizing the data model behind.
- Work with Capital Management team to streamline the LICAT reporting of PAR products
- Act as the key person to produce PAR surplus projection, help with review of PAR account financials and support business decision making.
- Other ad-hoc related work as assigned by the team.

**What will you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**:

- 3+ years of experience with Actuarial experience in Life Insurance industry.
- Creativity and dedication to create something from scratch.
- Proficiency with GGY AXIS and familiarity with insurance product modeling, pricing, or valuation
- Understanding of PAR products and related actuarial considerations
- Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment and manage competing priorities
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related discipline
- Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA)

**Nice-to-have**:

- Understanding of data modeling (ETL)
