**Job Summary**
We are seeking a Lab Technician, Phlebotomist, or Nurse Coordinator to join our team at the Centre for Neurology Studies (CNS). This role is responsible for supporting the planning, initiation, coordination, and implementation of several clinical trials and research activities for the CNS.
**Responsibilities**
- Work one-on-one with healthy individuals and those with various neurological impairments (including individuals with tremors).
- Schedule participants and/or clinical staff for study visits.
- Order and manage inventory of blood draw supplies and equipment.
- Perform blood draws (Hematology, Chemistry, PK).
- Process and ship blood draws.
- Urinalysis/pregnancy testing.
- Take vital signs and weight.
- Perform clinical trial outcome measures, including cognitive assessments and questionnaires, with study participants.
- Perform ECGs (electrocardiograms) and EEGs (electroencephalography) for research (training provided).
- Support study recruitment by identifying and screening potential participants and obtaining informed consent.
- Record and organize detailed documentation of study-related information (e.g. screening logs, data collection forms, incidences of adverse events and protocol deviations).
- Ensure study data is accurate, audit-ready, and entered and stored appropriately.
- Ensure study activities are performed in accordance with each individual protocol, internal SOPs, ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines, Health Canada guidelines, as well as REB and Sponsor policies and procedures, as appropriate (training provided).
- Represent the company at various conferences, events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Assist in the drafting of Statement of Works (SoWs), new project (study) proposals, project charters, project budgets.
- Perform other related duties as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Registered with the appropriate professional association.
- Previous research coordination and/or scheduling experience.
- Blood processing and shipping experience preferred.
- IATA or TDG certification in the shipping of dangerous goods an asset, but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
