**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Trap, grade and transport minnows safely and effectively from the bait harvesting area and distribute them to local bait dealers in bulk.
- Identify invasive species at trapping sites and discard appropriately.
- Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of trapping gear, bait tanks and sales facilities to reduce the chance of spreading aquatic invasive species.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Control systems and Instrumentation equipment.
- No experience is required for this entry level position, but a technician diploma or relevant education in Instrumentation or Environmental Science would be advantageous.
- A passion for the outdoors and willingness to execute tasks on your own is necessary.
- The goal of becoming a Red Seal Instrument Technician (447A) should be your primary focus.
- A valid G driver's license is required.
In this role, a portion of your time will be spent working as an Instrumentation technicians apprentice and the other portion will be spent working with myself or on your own, operating the bait harvesting line and handling / distributing bait to local bait dealers around Thunder Bay.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
