**POSITION PURPOSE**:
The Innovation Centre (IC) Merchandising Associates work as part of a team to support the execution and set up of merchandising programs and strategies. The position assists in all operational areas of the Innovation Centre including fixture & steel setup, merchandising product, staging product, and fixture teardown. The role includes direct communication between vendors and cross functional partners and providing feedback and solutions on merchandising initiatives. Associates will also support receiving functions including loading, unloading, storing products and fixtures.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers
- Assist the Visual Merchandising, Merchant Team, Space Planning and/or vendor partners in the execution of sets, test, and pitches
- Provide clear communication on the execution of initiatives, strategies and feedback on execution, alternative methods, and other ideas to improve in store execution
- Moving freight from receiving to designated areas in the (IC) using the appropriate equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining receiving area (removing pallets and cardboard boxes from the floor, using cardboard bailer, clearing area to make room for new merchandise and fixtures)
- Research shipment paperwork discrepancies and processing Return to Vendors product
- Ensuring that all Innovation Centre visitors and associates are following Home Depot standards regarding all safety policies
- Maintaining and operating all Material Handling Equipment in accordance with all Home Depot safety policies and procedures

**Preferred Qualifications/ Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Experience working in retail merchandising service industry or working directly for large-scale retailer
- Knowledge of lift equipment, tools, and procedures necessary to do job successfully
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
- Internal: Years of Relevant Work Experience - 1, must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management code of meets expectations
