**Job Description Summary**:
Are you a stickler for details and someone who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments? Do you have a strong planning background and experience working with material resource planning systems? If so, then come join the Planning team at STEMCELL Technologies - Canada’s largest biotech company.
As a Planner, Planning Operations your main focus will be on optimizing operational efficiency by ensuring alignment of inventory strategy with demand requirements. You’ll get the chance to collaborate with internal operations teams to identify issues and propose solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone with a continuous improvement mindset to analyze our planning function through a holistic lens and come up with strategies for optimization.
Please note: This is a 13 month contract covering a leave with potential for future permanent employment.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Effectively share ‘best practice’ knowledge of commonly-used concepts, processes, procedures, and quality system requirements within the planning and supply chain function
- Utilize experience to plan and prioritize production requirements using SAP ERP in combination with Demand Driven MRP Software, R+ to drive process improvements
- Work closely with departments across the company including Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement to effectively and efficiently participate in and provide insight on operational projects
- Manage core Planning meetings
- Generate relevant reporting to promote supply chain initiatives
**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of Planning experience in a production environment utilizing a material resource planning system
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Science
- ERP/MRP system experience (SAP experience an asset) with DDMRP (Demand Driven MRP) systems such as R+
- Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
