**Position Description**:
In collaboration with the SickKids’ Labatt Family Heart Centre, the CHSS Data Center is seeking a new Research Program Manager to assist with the coordination of large multi-institutional studies run by the CHSS. The Research Program Manager works closely with the Data Center Faculty (physicians and surgeons) located at both SickKids site and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). Though you will formally report to the Director, Strategy & Business Operations, Perioperative Services [re administrative, personnel and financial framework] you will work closely with and take direction from the CHSS Executive regarding the goals and objectives of the CHSS as it relates to management and implementation within the CHSS Data Centre.

This is a very exciting time in the history of the CHSS, as the Data Centre is expanding with a new joint data hub twinned with the team at Cleveland Clinic (USA) that has increased the Data Centre’s research capabilities and opportunities for Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement work at SickKids.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:
You will lead and manage a team of 6 individuals, including data coordinators, database managers and research coordinators who run the CHSS data projects. All of these projects are strongly supported by the Faculty who are physicians and surgeons at SickKids and who will provide constant support and advice.

**Program Accountability**
- Collaborate with the Directors, the Executive Team and staff to implement the goals and objectives of the CHSS.
- Accountable for the delivery of assigned strategic objectives.
- Manage and plan two small conferences (‘Work Weekends’) per year (in person/virtual/hybrid) as well as helping with the Annual General Meeting of the CHSS in Chicago (USA). The Faculty will provide the guidelines and objectives for these events.
- Responsible for supporting the development of the CHSS semi-annual reports (for the CHSS Executive) with the Cleveland Clinic site’s Administrative Director.
- Involvement in helping to write protocols for new and ongoing cardiac studies, where required.
- Manage regulatory aspects for the Data Centre and its studies, and associated sites.
- Foster collaborative working relationships between the Program’s scientific members, other collaborating members within CHSS, as well as the research community at large; identify and mitigate issues as they arise.
- Develop communication strategies to promote and increase awareness of the CHSS within the Hospital, as well as locally, nationally and globally, including website content development and maintenance.
- Help to manage and implement some of the diverse scientific activities of the CHSS, including external seminars, science chalk talks, journal clubs, the annual meeting and work seminars, mini symposia, and trainee seminars.

**Project Management**
- Communicate with SickKids Research Ethics Board, Legal and Privacy groups to ensure compliance with regulatory issues in clinical research.
- Ensure that all participating CHSS member institutions are in compliance with all regulations required for clinical research.
- Manage the CHSS Data Centre day-to-day operations including budgeting, planning and logistics, standard operating procedures, and communications to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
- Manage multiple ongoing and new projects; delegate to staff where appropriate
- Fiscal management (you will be supported by the SickKids Perioperative Services [POS] Director and operations/financial team).
- Participate in preparing the business plan and developing the annual operating budget (supported by the SickKids POS Director and operations/financial team) to ensure appropriate utilization of resources, including staff, equipment, supplies and space.
