Truck Driving Instructor

**Commercial Truck **Driver **Trainer/Instructor**

The role of the Driver Trainer is to counsel and instruct students in a professional manner.
- Maintain a valid Ontario Class A license, with Z endorsement
- Minimum 5 years of class A experience, with recent Manual Transmission experience
- Maintain accurate student progress records
- Be prepared to instruct, supervise and monitor student's actions in all phases of training and ensure students compliance with program policy
- Evaluate students daily, make formal evaluations on a regular schedule by utilizing appropriate academic and skills tests
- Serve as a role model to the student as to dress, conduct and attitude
- Ability to confer and work cooperatively with co-workers Qualifications
- Knowledge of current provincial and federal regulations relating to the trucking industry
- Work well under pressure and take initiative
- Possess strong communication skills
- Must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings/weekends as required
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must have the ability to be in and out of the vehicles repeatedly as required

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour
