**Summary**:
Reporting to the Supervisor - Processing, as the Machine Shop Technician - Grinding, you will be responsible for general grinding.

**Work Shift: Weekdays Night shift - Monday - Thursday (8pm - 6am).**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Internal and external diameter grinding of large diameter chrome or HVOF plated parts
- Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
- Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
- Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Use of Cranes to move parts
- Perform other duties as required

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus recognized and accredited college /trade program or three or more years (3+) prior outside Machining experience.
- Cylindrical grinding experience of large components.
- Demonstrated knowledge of machine shop practices, including turning and milling, with an emphasis on grinding
- Demonstrated ability to work to close tolerances and sound understanding of blueprint reading and all associated measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of WHMIS
- Must be willing and able to work steady night shift (11pm - 7am) and support the business as needed on off shifts and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
