The person would work with children /teen who have special needs and their families. Guidance to ensure follow through of recommendations would be given by the Occupational Therapist, Behavioral Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist.

Hours Set times can be determined. Week day
- Evening 1 to 2 times per week

- **A-Link Therapy**_ is looking for developmental aid to work with families in their home to implement speech language, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy strategies.

Educational Support A-Link Therapy

Contract length: 12 months depending on family you work with. Extended time is possible for a year. Need a person who will commit to the position

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract

**Salary**: 20 hour

**Requirements**:

- Current clear criminal and vulnerability record check. Reimbursement for records check would occur with success of 1 month probation.
- Be very physically active and creative. Be willing to play in the snow, play at the park summer and winter, go swimming if appropriate.
- Willing to learn and implement strategies in a fun and safe way
- Able to be proactive and with support set up developmentally appropriate games, crafts, cooking, toy play, and physical activities, ect.
- A calm disposition is needed.
- Be reliable and able to complete documentation for each visit. Training would be provided.
- You do need to have your own vehicle to be able to transport self to places. Having the ability to transport people would be an asset.
- Having experience working with children on the spectrum would be an asset.
- There is no cell phone for personal use during work hours, any use of profanity is prohibited, use of any rough or restraints is prohibited.
- Love working with people who are from a variety of cultures and using a play approach to help children learn and grow is a must.
