- **Day to Day**:

- Identify and pursue business opportunities with producers.
- Meet with producers to collect grain samples and foster relationships.
- Serve as the primary contact for all matters related to grain purchasing, including negotiations, and delivery of grain in-house.
- Keep producers updated with relevant market information.
- Review and promote grain marketing programs.
- Provide the P&H merchandising team with first-hand grain market insights from producers.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated success in grain origination, particularly within the local region, and a deep understanding of the agricultural industry.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, analyze and effectively communicate grain markets, pricing trends, and marketing strategies.
- Valid driver’s license and be available to travel periodically.
- Strong proficiency in sales techniques and negotiation strategies, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and successfully closing deals.
- Exceptional customer service, relationship building and networking skills.
- Competence in using agricultural software systems and working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Application Suite, with high proficiency in Excel.
- Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
