We are currently looking for an Estimator for British Columbia Project Sites

As an Estimator in the construction industry, you’ll play a crucial role in developing the first iterations of the execution plan. Your responsibilities will include performing quantity take offs to detail the scope of work and assess the project risk along with the cost and schedule estimates. All to ensure estimates are accurate and align with industry standards and company objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Project Evaluation**:

- Develop / Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand the scope of work.
- Evaluate material, labor, and equipment requirements for construction projects.

**2. Cost Estimation**:

- Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other resources needed.
- Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks to create reliable estimates.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for various project components.

**3. Bid Preparation**:

- Collaborate with the bidding team to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
- Ensure that bids are competitive while maintaining profitability and meeting project goals.

**4. Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and related documents.
- Generate reports outlining estimated costs, cost variances, and potential risks.

**5. Vendor and Supplier Relations**:

- Communicate and negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Evaluate and select appropriate subcontractors and suppliers based on cost and quality.

**6. Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and construction methods to enhance estimates accuracy.
- Implement improvements in estimating processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- CEP (Certified Estimating Professional) accreditation from AACE or equivalent is an asset.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and standards.

**Additional Skills**:

- Project management skills for effective coordination and planning.
- Familiarity with cost control and budget management.
- Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation in construction projects.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
