**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Supervise & manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Manage cash flow and monitor internal controls
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, report variances and initiate corrective action
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and manage relationships with external auditors and tax professionals
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks and other financial institutions
- Manage and mentor accounting staff and provide training and development opportunities
- Collaborating with external auditors to ensure financial reporting compliance and identify cost-savings
- Directing the day-to-day financial operations from a very high level.
- Building financial strategies for the company and guiding towards the appropriate direction
- Aware of recent changes to financial reporting practices and ensuring that financial statements have been accurately prepared to the best of their knowledge
- Acting as a financial catalyst by putting in place processes and ensuring that innovative plans are implemented

**Qualifications**:

- Strong foundation in accounting principles with strategic financial management skills
- A focus on meticulous financial analysis and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, complemented ideally by a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Well-versed in navigating accounting and ERP software, preferably with experience in Microsoft Navision Dynamics
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
