**Job Description - Hydraulics Technician**

**Who we are**:
**The opportunity**:
The Hydraulics Technician is primarily responsible for the disassembly, inspection and assembly of hydraulic cylinders ranging in size from 150lbs to 22000 lbs. Operation of various mechanical equipment as well as operation of measurement required measurement equipment.

**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Disassembly, inspection, and assembly of hydraulic cylinders
- Measuring and listing seals.
- Reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- Reading parts breakdowns.
- Determining the cause of failures and developing proactive solutions to prevent failures.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with cylinders, systems, and equipment.
- Determining repair requirements.
- Using all equipment and hand tools properly and maintaining them when needed.
- Honing and polishing.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Responsible for producing quality work in a safe and timely manner.

**Other requirements are**:

- Minimum of five years’ experience in hydraulic mechanics or equivalent trade certification.
- Ability to manually lift 50 lbs.
- High school diploma recommended.
- Applicants with technical training or post-secondary courses preferred.
- Working knowledge of engine lathes, vertical mills, horizontal and boring mills, drill presses, internal, tool post, bench, and surface grinders, bench tools, and hydraulic presses.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$40.00 per hour
