**Who are we looking for?**

Our **Engineering Design Organization**is looking for a **Junior**Bridge Engineering Technician**ready to join one of our **Waterloo, Mississauga, Whitby offices.**In this role, you’ll be part of the Bridges team working on municipal infrastructure projects such as bridge rehabilitation, bridges replacements, culvert rehabilitation and replacements and retaining walls.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Responsible for preparing and drawing detailed design drawings
- Assist with preparation of technical memorandum's, letters and reports
- Conduct quantity calculations and costing estimates
- Developing design/construction documents and specifications
- Participate in maintenance inspections (OSIM) of bridges and culvertsAttend and participate in client/team progress meetings including preparation of meeting records

**What you will bring to the Team**
- Diploma in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary educational institution or equivalent experience
- High proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D; familiarity with Microstation is an asset;
- Experience with inspection, design, preparing contract documents, and contract administration support considered an asset
- Proven verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Committed team player
- Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license
