Suki's has trained many of the hair industry’s most talented and respected hairstylists for the past 50 years Currently we have an opening for an enthusiastic Apprentice to join the team at our downtown Victoria location.

If you have previous experience working in a hair salon as an assistant, an apprentice or as a junior stylist, or if you have completed basic hair school, we would love to hear from you We offer on-the-job training that allows you to earn money while you learn to be a world class hairstylist

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Maintain the safety, organization and cleanliness of the salon
- Greet, check-in, and check-out guests at the front desk
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients' questions and needs
- Shampoo and condition clients' hair
- Assist senior stylists with hair services (styling and colouring) as needed
- Upsell salon products and services to clients
- Sanitize tools and equipment regularly
- Build a personal social media brand
- Attend training to advance in your Apprenticeship
- Recruit models to advance in your Apprenticeship
- Maintain a professional and fashionable appearance

Qualifications:

- Previous experience or education in the hair industry preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Ability to sell retail products and services
- Attention to detail in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the salon
- Self motivated; able to see what needs to be done and to do it right away
- Friendly, polite, and professional personality to provided excellent customer service
