Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to contribute to our Supply Chain team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will generate and manage purchase orders, conduct cost analysis, evaluate supplier performance, lead new sourcing processes, prepare procurement reports, negotiate terms with vendors, as well as build and maintain relationships with our suppliers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
- Work to achieve cost savings while maintaining or improving product/service quality.
- Conduct cost analysis and assess the total cost of ownership for goods and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Leads the new sourcing process including but not limited to the design and development of RFQs, purchase order negotiations through to execution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, to understand requirements.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements in terms of price, quality, and delivery.
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct evaluations to determine their capabilities and reliability.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain.

**Requirements**:

- Possesses an established a vendor network with a background preferably in metal and parts fabrication.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 - 10 years of progressive purchasing experience on small to medium strategic projects, strategic procurement, contracts, and/or supply chain management, and/or equivalent required.
- Highly organized and detailed to ensure accurate product performance and set up in the ERP system.
- Progressive experience across various Supply Chain and Operations roles including Planning, Procurement, Order Management and Order Fulfillment.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Comfortable with different platforms in technology.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
