About Us

Position Overview

As the Yard Manager, you will play a critical role in managing our lumber yard’s day-to-day operations, coordinating the assembly of orders, maintaining an organized work environment, ensuring timely delivery of materials to job sites, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of all yard equipment. This position requires close collaboration with our project management team to align on schedules and material requirements, ensuring our projects run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the lumber yard’s operations, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Organize and prepare orders based on project requirements.
- Deliver materials to job sites and assist with job site cleanups as needed.
- Work closely with the project manager to schedule deliveries and material pick-ups.
- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard and storage areas.
- Pick up materials from suppliers and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, up-to-date, and schedule repairs as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in lumber yard management or a similar role in the construction/materials industry.
- Ability to operate a forklift and possess a clean, full driver’s license.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of lumber products and familiarity with construction terminology.
- A commitment to safety protocols and procedures, including equipment maintenance.

How to Apply

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
