**About the Role**
Trailer Technician (multiple vacancies)
Full-time
Woodstock, ON
Shift schedule Monday to Friday; 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM (15:30 to 00:00).
As a **_Trailer Technician_** at Day & Ross, you will be responsible for repairing and inspecting trailers, and be a key member of our maintenance team. We offer competitive compensation, extensive medical coverage, pension plan and a tool and boot allowance.
**How You’ll Help**
- Conduct inspections of trailers. Document and record the inspection and findings, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Diagnose, repair and maintain trailers, including suspension, tires trailer axle, lighting systems, rear walls and doors, trailer frame and support and trailer body. Recognize additional maintenance and repair that could be performed and escalate to the supervisor.
- Provide guidance, mentoring and training to Pre-Apprentice and Apprentice Technicians
- Work independently to complete diagnostic, service, repair and maintain trailers.
- Maintenance and repair trailer bodies, including miscellaneous accessories such as hub caps, decals, reflective tape, painting, etc.
- Document and update Service Supervisor/Service Manager on completion time changes, all findings, work done and potential future service requirements.
- Ensure the trailer bay and work area is clean and tidy, which includes regular cleanup, washing of vehicles and sweeping.
- Operate yard equipment when required.
- Other duties as required.
**Your Skills & Experience**:
- 310J or 310T license considered an asset.
- Experience in truck and/or trailer repair and exposure working in a maintenance department.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain an open line of communication with the shift foreman/supervisor.
- Basic computer skills is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and have a positive attitude.
