**Key Responsibilities**
- Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain automation and robotic equipment to ensure seamless production processes.
- Develop components as needed to support production and equipment functionality.
- Develop and implement innovative ideas to improve productivity, profitability, and safety in manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Participate in corrective action processes, including root cause analysis, to address production challenges.
- Work collaboratively with department managers to determine design requirements and ensure alignment with production goals.
- Assist in training and supervising operators of special machines and custom automation machinery.
- Oversee the setup and operation of special machines and custom automation equipment.
- Communicate any machine or production issues to the Engineer in a timely manner.
- Engage in ongoing training and development activities, including safety and OSHA training.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams and contribute to overall process enhancements.
- Develop, test, and implementation PLC programs to control and automate manufacturing processes. Ensure programs are optimized for efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Integrate PLCs with various automation systems, including robotics, sensors, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panels, and other control systems to create a seamless production environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and system configurations. Update documentation as changes is made to ensure all information is current and accessible.

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Certifications in PLC programming, ABB robotics, or industrial automation are considered an asset.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD design software is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a customer-focused approach

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
