We are currently seeking a self-motivated **Repair Technician** to join our growing team. This position involves the repair and assembly of drum motors according to the required specifications and standards.
We are a manufacturer of high-quality power transmission equipment used in supply chains in food processing, pharmaceutical, mining, and transportation industries. Our conveyor drives range in size from 0.25 HP to 500 HP.

**Job responsibilities**:
**Repair Schedule/Work Order/Pick List/Blueprints**:
- Accurately identify the necessary repairs and the root cause analysis for the failure and prepare a detailed service report.
- Complete the repairs according to specification and ensure the work orders are completed in the ERP system (Epicor) with notes, including parts and repair information.
- Receive and check all the parts against the pick lists for quantity, quality and size.
- Read and follow basic engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately repair and assemble components into finished products.
**Drum Motor Repair**:
- Inspect and diagnose the root cause of failure of drum motor using electrical and mechanical testing and calibrating equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with thorough research and investigation using available documentation and internal resources.
- Determine and execute an action plan for making necessary repairs including identifying necessary parts and time required for the repair.
- Perform all work as outlined on the Repair work order
**Drum Motor Assembly & Testing**:
- Position, align, fasten and install mechanical and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies.
- Identify and complete the assemblies using provided work instructions and specified tools.
- Verify specific electrical characteristics of potted shafts and stators using provided measurement tools.
- Fill the drum motor with the right type of oil as specified in the work order.
- Complete the repair and assembly of the entire drum motor including alignment and closing.
- Torque fasteners to required specification.
- Complete the pressure tests.
- Perform final quality control procedures and make any necessary adjustments.
- Deliver the assembled motor to Shipping area.
- Communicate with Pre-assembly regularly.
- Responsible for their own repair units.
- Assist other assemblers, lead hand or supervisors as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Inform the lead hand/supervisor of any inconsistency with work orders or defective parts.
- Inform the supervisor if any technical problems arise.
- Clean workbench at the end of shift.
**Health and Safety Compliance**:
- Perform duties in a safe manner, maintain a neat and safe workstation and always comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
**Other**:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years’ experience repair/assembling mechanical components
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Prior knowledge of repair of gear or power transmission and 3 phase electric motors
- Previous repair experience with electric motors size ranges from 0.5 hp to 50 hp
- Proven investigative abilities to find root cause of motor failure and the necessary repair required
- Must be able to lift/position heavy motor components (20-50 lbs) with the assistance of crane.
- Manual dexterity to put parts together accurately
- Able to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
- Able to tear down and diagnose failures to electric motors and gear boxes
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, overhead hoists and hydraulic presses
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Computer proficiency
- Basic electrical knowledge and understanding
- Good communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
