Job Title: Civil Foreman

Location: Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Foreman with operating and pipelaying experience to oversee and manage construction projects primarily in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. As a Civil Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising a team of workers, ensuring that all project activities are carried out efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of the construction project on site
- Supervise and coordinate the work of construction crews, ensuring that they adhere to safety standards, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Manage construction materials and equipment, ensuring that they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and clients.
- Resolve any construction-related issues or conflicts that may arise during the project.
- Maintain good communication and working relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Train, mentor and coach workers to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Ensure that all project activities are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction.
- Operating experience an asset
- Pipelaying experience preferable.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ability to use software and computers is an asset.
- Valid driver's license.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $39.97-$44.41 per hour
