SUMMARY*
**The National Carrier CSR is responsible for building relationships with our partner carriers with a focus on planning the availability and allocation of equipment. Duties include negotiating rates and schedules with multiple departments and partner carriers to meet customer obligations. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Ability to communicate in French is a key component to this position.**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES*
- Build relationships with customers and partner carriers
- Track availability and allocation of equipment and drivers
- Develop an understanding of customers’ needs and take action to ensure their needs are met
- Create an effortless transaction for company clients, ensuring customer loyalty
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, take advantage of sales opportunities and limit negative impacts the company
- Work with partner carriers to find those who offer the best solution and schedules to fulfill customer needs
- Negotiate rates and timelines with customers and partner carriers
- Interpret and resolve load problems for partner carriers concerning customs, shipper/receiver, scheduling and paperwork
- Assist with accounts receivable to obtain Proof of Delivery from partner carriers
- Other duties may be assigned

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Preferred 2-3 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry
- **Proficiency in both French and English**:

- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to new situations
- Technical ability to learn and use transportation industry programs, such as AXON and Load Link
- Experience with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to give direction regarding work responsibilities, rules, and guidelines
- Ability to use discretion in decision making within predetermined limits and procedures
