- We are seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead one of the team within the Engineering Department. A perfect fit for this role is an experienced mechanical designer with leadership ability that can supervise a team while influencing the quality of the design.- Your expertise in mechanical design and technical drafting is a key to guiding and mentoring our group of designers as well as to taking part in the approval process, design reviews and to defining our standards.- You will also be working with the Project and Product Engineers to understand and define the requirements of the new projects, identify the right team member to delegate the job and support your team through the design process.**Outcomes of this role**:

- Ensure the quality of design for our industrial packaging solutions
- Improve and execute engineering standards related to mechanical design
- Teach and grow technical competency of the team
- Improve your leadership skills in supervising your team and collaborating with colleagues
- Learn tons about the Packaging Industry including but not limited to: labelling, printing, capping, inspection, frozen foods, produce, cannabis, regulations, etc. It’s an endless environment of learning

**Other things we look for***:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience as a mechanical designer is required
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software is required, SolidWorks is an asset
- Leadership experience is an asset
