**qualifications**

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent education as a RN student completion of year 2 or greater, RPN student completion of term 2 or greater.
  • Current CPR.
  • One year experience working as a Personal Support Worker in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
  • Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
