We are looking for a Senior Contract & Procurement Professional who can lead the entire contract lifecycle and procurement processes in the public sector, lead the junior staff in delivering assigned outcomes, and most importantly aligns with our team core values - Safety, Wellbeing, Respect, Quality, Collaborate, Growth Mindset. This position is based remotely or from our North Vancouver office and is responsible for leading contracts & procurement for power utility projects.

**Responsibilities**:
This work requires collaboration with internal departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to develop procurement strategies and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and reports to our Team Lead, Project Services & Procurement. The core responsibilities include:
- Lead medium to high complexity procurement processes to ensure projects are delivered safely, with quality, and within budget and schedule
- Lead and/or support procurement projects by:
- Developing project contracting plans and market sounding documentation
- Facilitating bidding processes, evaluation, and supplier negotiations
- Performing contract management activities to ensure all parties meet contractual obligations
- Draft and manage supplier communications related to contractual documentation, ensuring proper documentation and filing of all correspondence
- Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage and performance; identifying issues, taking timely action to resolve issues and communicating the same with stakeholders/project teams
- Draft and manage communication with suppliers on required contractual documentations, and file all correspondence as required
**Who we are looking for**:
- Minimum of 10 years in sourcing or contract management or equivalent, preferably in a complex public sector environment such as BC Hydro
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end supply management processes including competitive bidding, contract management, supplier performance management, and life cycle costing processes
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, conflict resolution and stakeholder relationship management skills to engage others, build consensus and resolve issues
- Experience in infrastructure capital project sourcing and power utility projects, would be an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or technical field, such as Supply Chain, Business, Law, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent
- Certificate or additional education or professional designation in Supply Chain Management, would be an asset
- Certificate or additional education in Project Management, would be an asset
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
