Nature of the Work:

- The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing technical duties related to network, computer and peripherals, and providing technical support to users.**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the overall computer support of the Dawson community via the Helpdesk;
- Maintain and upgrade software in labs and faculty offices;
- Works with the Coordinator of IT Operations and with the departments to determine the software configuration and imaging requirements;
- Works with the Network technician to maintain the network infrastructure in labs and offices.
- Use SCCM to create and configure virtual masters, and to image lab machines;
- Post notices for labs when needed, outlining new procedures and status updates;
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of VDI workstations;
- Diagnose computer hardware and software problems, employing various utilities, where applicable, place service calls where necessary;
- Follow approved IST procedures for Helpdesk delivery;
- Perform other duties as required by the Helpdesk manager.

**Requirements**:

- Qualifications:

- To have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
- Conditions:
- Proven knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems;
- Proven knowledge of SCCM;
- Proven ability to troubleshoot computer-related software and hardware;
- Knowledge of Network infrastructures;
- Knowledge of Horizon and VMWare;
- Advanced English communication skills and basic conversational French skills (testing may be required);
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to organize work and meet deadlines;
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
