**Role Description**
- Good Shepherd Men's Emergency Shelter is a 54-bed shelter for men. The emergency shelter provides a safe place for individuals who experience acute and chronic homelessness. Support and care are provided in a team-based approach, including 3 meals a day, basic needs, medical care from a Nurse Practitioner, housing supports and referrals.
- 16-24 hours scheduled with the ability to pick up shifts on an on-call basis
- Provide leadership and support
- Ensure daily tasks and expectations are met
- Regular communication with Management and Supervisor
- Perform any other duties related to the position directed by the Management of the Mens Centre

**Qualifications**
- 1+ years' experience working in a shelter setting or residential setting
- Social Service Worker diploma or related diploma/degree
- Current CPR and First Aid and Naloxone certificate is required
- Experience working with individuals experiencing concurrent disorders, homelessness and/or mental health issues.
- Knowledge in crisis intervention and prevention
- Excellent attendance record
- Must be available to work a 12-hour shift schedule
