Safety and Compliance Coordinator

The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for functions associated with vehicle and driver operations of Abrams Auto Transport. The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will be tasked to achieve and maintain a high rating on the Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration and Alberta Fit. This objective shall be accomplished through the delivery of driver, broker, and staff training in the transportation of vehicles, eLogbook, vehicle inspection reports, safe driving and strict adherence to the Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations. This individual will also be responsible for all required Ministry of Transportation driver files.

Job Duties
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of all applicable regulations and legislation (Throughout Canada and the USA).
- Assist in ensuring full compliance of all drivers to all organizational policies and procedures as well as governing rules, regulations and licensing
- Assist the Safety & Compliance manager with a review of individual drivers.
- Conduct Vehicle inspections and complete reports, along with follow-ups
- Review and inspect all company vehicles every month.
- Perform daily review of CTPAT, Fast programs and Fuel cards.
- Monitor and report on all compliance issues and results.
- Review policies and procedures to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct of drivers.
- Update and maintain the Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration.
- Perform new hire and onboarding of drivers.
- Other duties that shall be assigned as required.
**Requirements**:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field would be an asset.
- Experience in logistics responsibility and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement-oriented.
- Knowledge of various compliance ELDs and frameworks.
- Proven experience with driving improvements in regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and implementation skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Maintain professional skills and refine expertise through appropriate educational/developmental activities.
- Critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
- Proven ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems/conflicts quickly.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships and interact effectively with the team and the public.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of IFTA HUT, 407, easy pass, and cross-border transponders is an asset.
Work Conditions
- Interacts with employees, management and the public.
- Receive mínimal supervision and direction.
- Manual dexterity is required to use the desktop computer and peripherals.
- Lifting or moving up to ten (10) lbs. may be required.
Pay: $46,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
