DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare shipping instructions for CN/CP/PORT OF MONTREAL, and related terminals/ for import and export deliveries
- Check for Dangerous goods commodities on BOLs and supply appropriate placards to drivers
- Dispatching drivers to various terminals CN/PORT OF MONTREAL and any other pickups from customers
- Checking, communicating with terminals on regular basis for:

- Order, reservation numbers and equipment from CN/CP/ and related terminals
- Attending customer phone calls after hours to resolve any queries and inquiries
- Dispatch after hours City P & D and line haul, and cross border deliveries and pickups
- Work closely with dock to ensure drivers are available to meet rail and vessel cut offs and that equipment requirements are meant
- Handle after hours customer calls
- Check documents for billing accuracy
- Checking for correctness of inbound and outbound loads
- Monitor Driver productivity and ensure compliance with the Transportation legislation
- Dispatch equipment re-positioning (chassis, trailers, containers) to support DC Operations
- Provide regular status updates and insights on operational challenges and opportunities
- Support 24 hours X 7 days per week Dispatch Operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Minimum of 2 years of transportation with various intermodal knowledge: Less Than Truckload and Full Load, via road and rail is preferred
- Customer service and data entry experience is required
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Well organized and strong attention to detail is required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to changing priorities Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to assist others and go the extra mile

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2+ years of experience in ocean, and ground logistics, preferably in container trucking industry
- Management of third-party logistics relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Experienced with working across multiple time zones
- The ability to problem to solve and act with a sense of urgency
- Familiar and confident with manipulating data for the purpose of analysis, particularly Excel / Google sheets.
- Critical thinking. The successful applicant will enjoy problem solving and bring creative solutions and meaningful feedback to existing systems and processes.
- Open to occasionally flexing hours to accommodate calls with our global teams as required.
- Comfortable adapting and changing in a fast growing business environment.
- Curious, eager to learn, and be proactive

**EDUCATION/TRAINING**:

- College degree in business, Transportation, Logistics or related field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

**Salary**: $34,716.00-$52,074.00 per year
