**Education and Training**:

- Successful completion of grade twelve or equivalent (i.e. General Education Development (GED) or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE).
- Proven Certification in WHMIS.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of three (3) months recent relevant experience required
- Experience handling and transporting medical equipment and supplies, laboratory samples and medical gases

**Knowledge/Skills**

**Ability**:

- Ability to transport patients using stretchers, wheelchairs and other transporting equipment
- Must have working knowledge of aseptic techniques in an Operating Room environment
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and other health care professionals
- Proven ability to safely lift, push and pull up to 49 lbs

- Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record
