Hello We’re Valbella Gourmet Foods - a traditional European meat processing facility and café nestled in the heart of the Bow Valley in Canmore. We started over 45 years ago with a simple love for fine food and a commitment to creating the highest quality meat for our local communities. Since then, we have grown into one of Western Canada’s best known meat producers and work with some of the finest hotels, restaurants and grocers in Alberta.

We love supporting the local economy and are always on the lookout for talent to grow our team. We are currently looking for a Butcher with experience in European-style butchering, a passion for good quality food and shared family values to join our team.

**About You**
- You are organized and proactive
- You enjoy working with people and are a team player
- You enjoy being on your feet and don’t want to be tied to a desk all day
- You take direction when needed and take initiative to support the team
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen is an asset
- Have at least 1 year butcher / meat cutting experience
- You share our love for fine food

**About the job**

Every role at Valbella is important to our purpose of delivering the best quality experience and food to each customer. This is especially true of our Butchers, who are the core of our meat production business. The Butcher is part of a small team and is responsible for cutting, trimming and deboning all meat products.

A successful Butcher will:

- Assist with additional areas within the meat production department
- Receive goods at the loading dock
- Be organized and proactive
- Maintain impeccable hygiene standards
- Be able to stand on their feet for an entire shift
- Have the ability to lift up to 20kg

This is a full-time position that works Monday - Friday. Butchers typically start at 5am and finish their day early in the afternoon.
