**Kruger PRO**:

- Trenton is looking for someone with a passion for Health & Safety to support the effective implementation and maintenance of the organization’s health and safety management system within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all safety documentation, training records, and compliance activities are accurately maintained and aligned with legislative requirements and internal policies.

**Accountabilities**

**Administrative Support:

- Maintain and update health and safety records, including training logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
- Prepare and distribute safety communications, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in the coordination of Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and maintain related documentation.

Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure documentation and practices comply with relevant legislation (e.g., OSHA, WSIB, WHMIS).
- Track and report on safety performance indicators such as incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and assisting with follow-up actions.

Training & Communication:

- Coordinate onboarding safety training and refresher courses for employees and contractors.
- Maintain training matrices and ensure certifications are current.
- Assist in the development and distribution of safety bulletins and awareness materials.

Operational Support:

- Support the execution of risk assessments, safety inspections, and hazard identification processes.
- Provide support for incident/accident investigations
- Coordinate with Supervisors in the creation of Return-to-Work plans
- Assist in the roll-out and testing of a new standardized software platform
- Monitor PPE inventory and coordinate distribution to employees.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management systems or EHS software.
- Health & Safety certification or working towards is an asset.

Working Conditions:

- Primarily office-based with regular visits to the manufacturing floor.
- Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the production floor.
- Occasional flexibility in hours may be required to support training or incident response.
