Job title: Supervisor

General Summary: Supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the role of Supervisor is to lead the sales floor coverage and, in the absence of the SM and ASM, support all aspects of the business.

Reports to: Store Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervisors ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence within the store by focusing on the following:

- Sales and Service: Carries out tasks related to the financial plan to maintain KPI/ Score card of performance. Facilitates consistent, exceptional Customer experiences by leading and modelling customer service standards. Provides feedback to the store team on the link between service behaviors and business results. At the direction of Store Management provides leadership, feedback, and recognition to improve financial performance to support the Company's Service Model, Values and Mission Statement.
- Associate and Team Development: Assist store management in networking of potential hires, conducting new associate onboarding, and in motivating and recognizing team performance.
- Merchandising: As directed by the Store Manager ensures store appearance and visual standards/presentation is consistent with the respective DBC brand image. Ensures store is compliant with established “Brand Experience” standards.
- Operations: Partners with store management to execute action plans that drive business. Leads by example and fosters knowledge and integrity regarding compliance with company policy in all practices. Effectively uses resources and business partners to resolve issues with a sense of passion. Educates team on the link between operational integrity and its’ impact on facilitating an exceptional Customer experience. In the absence of store management oversees daily store cleaning, recovery, maintenance, and inventory.
- Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned by Store Management.

Physical Demands: The physical demands of the job include:

- Moving and standing, including moving around the store to assist customers and associates. Must have the ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or moving around the register area, the sales floor, and the stockroom.
- Lifting, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
- Physical activities include holding a scanning gun, keying and processing register transactions, lifting and bagging merchandise, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, stretching, and reaching on a frequent basis.
- Finger dexterity (ability to affix price tickets, to write information on pre-ticketed items and to operate miscellaneous devices such as staplers, scanning devices and accessories, etc.). May involve operating an electronic terminal to complete sales transactions and receive cash, checks, credit cards, or other cash substitutes from customers.
