**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate various types of vehicles, including trucks and forklifts, to transport freight and heavy equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Follow designated routes while making timely deliveries to customers or job sites.
- Communicate effectively with supers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including minor automotive repairs as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Valid commercial driver's license DZ or A Restricted is preferred; experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment and forklifts safely.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Driver qualifications:

- Valid DZ or A-Restricted License in Ontario
- Clean Driver Abstract CVOR
- Experience with flat bed
- Capable of assisting with loading and unloading
- Capable of heavy lifting
- Reliable and friendly
- Excellent road safety awareness Experience in commercial driving
- Proficient in forklift operation and freight handling
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Capable of using Electronic GPS device (Elog)

Perform daily inspections and report all maintenance issues.
- Ensure proper loading, securing and unloading of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety standards
- Assist with general warehouse labour duties as needed

Pay: $25.00-$27.01 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
