Plaza Premium Group is proud managing partners with the national flag bearer, Air Canada, and therefore is looking for professional and highly skilled individuals for various FOH & BOH positions for the state-of-the-art Air Canada Signature Suite at Vancouver International Airport. In order to serve Air Canada’s super elite, high-profile customers travelling on Air Canada’s Signature Class on select international routes, Plaza Premium Lounge is seeking skilled professionals for both FOH & BOH from, fine-dining, high-end restaurant/hotel backgrounds only.

Overall responsibility

To provide an excellent guest drinking experience by creating classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.

Key Areas of Duties and Responsibility
- Interact with customers in a friendly and engaging way, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar patrons, pouring beverages; prepping for service; stocking bar; carrying out opening and closing duties
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age, perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
- Complete liquor requisitions, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Ring food orders if guest wants to order at bar.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills & Eligibility Requirements
- Proven working experience minimum 2 years as a bartender in fine dining/high-end restaurants or hotels
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Computer skills
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate
- Problem solving ability
- High level of attention to detail
- Team player
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Able to get Transport Canada clearance for the security pass to work at the airport.
- Serving It Right certification
- Fully Vaccinated as per mandate by Federal Government and YVR Airport Authority
