This position sits with the Youth Transitions program, (currently called STADD), in the Provincial Services Branch within the Service Delivery Division of the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). This branch is providing leadership, coordination, and oversight of the implementation of a youth/young adult transition navigation service model. The program area has begun a project to implement a transformation over the next four years to expand its mandate to serve a broader population of youth with transition planning needs across the province.

As communications/Stakeholder Engagement Analyst, you will support the development and implementation of a communications and engagement plan for a new Youth Transition program serving youth and young adults in and from care as well current program serving youth with support needs and their families who are transitioning to adulthood. You will be working with both internal stakeholders and external government and community partners utilizing your expertise in communications and engagement within the human services sector. Using your excellent verbal and written communications skills, you will be a key member facilitating and collaborating on a large-scale change initiative. You will be accountable to the director of STADD and for all communications activities within the new program, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule and specified quality.

Working in a collaborative team setting, you can adapt quickly to frequent changes in priorities, effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners, plan, develop approaches, facilitate, and participate in engagement sessions, and be able to develop options, strategies and approaches to address issues and program communication needs. You will provide leadership as well as hands-on expertise to the Service Delivery Design Working Group in developing a suite of, communications and engagement materials, and transition planning tools.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, English or a related field, plus 1 years’ related experience (within the last 5 years).
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience may also be considered.
- Related experience includes:

- Public relations, communications or media relations in a large organization.
- Coordinating and supporting formal and informal engagement processes or events.
- Developing materials customised to audience, including web content, social media, videos and other innovative methods.
- Planning and implementing stakeholder relations, engagement and communication strategies.

**Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following**:

- Who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).
- 2 or more years’ experience in each of the above experience statements.

**Willingness Statement**:
