The Alexander Mackie Lodge located in downtown Langford has an opening for a casual Cook position. Typical shifts are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Week-ends and flexible availability are necessary.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, the Cook is responsible for preparing from scratch delicious and nutritious meals for over 130 senior residents while maintaining a high standard for safety, cleanliness, budget control and waste reduction.

Qualifications and skills:

- At least 2 years' experience working in a high-volume production kitchen
- Current Food Safe and WHIMS certificates
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Certificate from recognized culinary Arts School or equivalent experience preferred
- Punctual, reliable, team player, physically fit and impeccable grooming
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- Experience with volume cooking and home style meals
