Kawartha Lakes Construction has been designing and building custom homes and renovations for over 35 years. We have a fantastic team of dedicated professionals who thrive on creating exceptional experiences

We are looking for a seasoned Residential Construction Estimator to provide detailed estimates and compile quotes for pricing residential construction projects. This person will also become the inhouse business technology expert who will assist us in using our software to its full potential while also being responsible for analyzing our historical cost data utilizing it for budgetary purposes in future design/build projects.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates for various residential projects.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and material, equipment, and labour expenses.
- Verify returned tenders are clear, complete, and accurate; resubmit requests to clarify ambiguities and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze project-end financial reports to provide a historical cost database to use for future project estimates
- System specialist for estimating and training software

**Required Qualifications & Experience**
- 5 years residential construction experience.
- College business administration and or architectural technologist diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code & appropriate standards and practices.
- Knowledge of residential construction and renovation techniques.
- Experience in project evaluation and budgeting of residential construction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and construction math
- Proficient in Bluebeam and other estimating software packages, knowledge of Construction Online is a bonus
