**SUMMARY**

**About the Role - Writer’s Room Server**

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with the front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. The server functionally reports to the Lounge Manager.

**Some of the responsibilities include**:

- Greets guests and presents them with the menu
- Informs guests of specials and menu changes and answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
- Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
- Communicate with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
- Presents open and pours wine and beer when serving guests
- Assists table support team with stocking workstations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
- Assists with the cash register at counter-service restaurants
- Performs other duties as required or assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Service focused personality is essential
- Previous fine dining or luxury level service knowledge and training.
- Minimum 2 year previous work experience in a world-class luxury brand in a similar capacity.
- Current Smart Serve certification.
- Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality-driven
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Constant walking & standing
- Frequent lifting, crouching/bending/stooping/kneeling
