**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Corporate Communication Manager will play a key role in contributing to the planning, development and execution of the overall communication and marketing strategy to support the business objectives of Distech Controls. You’ll work cross-functionally with colleagues in marketing, product, sales, human resources, R&D and design to create engaging strategies and content that maximize engagement with different stakeholders, both internally and externally.
**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:
- Play an active role in assessing corporate communication needs within the company, as well as in developing and implementing communication strategies.
- Develop global brand marketing and campaigns.
- Manage public relations (key messages, press releases, Q&A documents, company positioning, etc.).
- Promote and protect the reputation of the company and its product brands.
- Developing a thought leadership approach
- Support internal clients with the development and execution of effective communication strategies that contribute to increasing employer branding awareness.
- Create content for various internal and external communication tools including speaking notes, corporate presentations, brochures, newsletters as well as digital assets to support marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate review process, where appropriate, with internal stakeholders.
- Develop messaging and materials pertaining to the company's sustainability program.
- Coordinate communication initiatives with external service providers.
- Perform all other duties related to the position.
**Skills and Minimum Experience Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar communications role
- Excellent writing skills in English (priority) and French
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Ability to provide advice to internal clients and management
- The ability to juggle multiple projects while being flexible to accommodate shifting priorities
- Initiative and team spirit, at ease in a remote working environment
- Sense of organization and priorities, rigor, and attention to detail
- B2B experience in the technology sector an asset
