TownePlace Suites by Marriott Toronto Oakville is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to manage guest reservations systems to ensure guest satisfaction and to meet guests’ needs.
**Activities**:
**This position requires working all shifts including weekends, overnights and holidays**
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the property’s features and events at all times.
- Work closely with the Sales Team with group bookings, including creating/booking and maintaining group blocks, rooming lists, changes etc.
- Manage all VIP requests and coordinate with F&B team for any deliveries.
- Maintain current knowledge of the hotel rate packages, specials, promotional and negotiated rates.
- Responsible for the telephone and internal communications needs of the hotel
- Provide all necessary information to the guests and be knowledgeable of the most frequently asked questions.
- Forward any information for guests via mail, courier etc. Handle any lost and found requests
- Assist Front Office Department with duties including but not limited to check in/out, covering breaks and working front desk when required
- Other duties as assigned
**Competencies We Are Seeking**:
- Previous Front Office/Hotel Experience is a requirement
- Excellent command of the English language, secondary language a benefit.
- Must enjoy teamwork and a multi-tasking environment.
- Should work very well under set timelines without compromising work results.
- Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the entire week (evenings, weekends and holidays are a must).
- Must have a pleasant telephone-voice
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
