The successful applicant will safely operate a snow plow and help our clients’ properties clear of snow after snow events. This is a part time opportunity and based on snow fall. The successful applicant will work on commercial sites with a crew or alone. Our strength is organization and we plan our routes and crews in advance and always operate with maximum efficiency.

Our snow season typically goes from the middle of November to the middle of April.

**Our Expectations**:

- Conduct a circle check of truck to ensure plow is properly attached, other necessary equipment is loaded, everything is operational and safety features are working prior to leaving the shop
- Plow snow on sites
- Spread salt when necessary
- Safely operate vehicle at night and in inclement weather
- Load and refill salt into salter as required, using a skid steer
- Communicate with other salt truck operators and plow operators as necessary
- Fill out all paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Remove all garbage from the truck at the end of the shift and ask crew members to do the same

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in winter operations, experience operating a pick-up truck with a plow preferred
- Physically fit and able to fulfill job requirements, as occasional hand shoveling may be required
- G license and clean drivers abstract
- Able to communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner
- Hard working
- Punctual
- Transportation to the workplace
- Team player who has a positive attitude, is reliable and dependable
- On call 24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Willingness to work for long hours in various weather conditions
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop and on jobsites
