**Job Summary**

An instructor's binder provides courseware, resources, evaluations, and daily lesson plans. The instructor is responsible for following the provided instructor manuals and using the resource materials to train students with the required knowledge and skills to prepare them for employment in the field. NACIT emphasizes professional conduct and excellence in classroom instruction, primarily emphasizing hands-on training.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field.
- Instruct curriculum using only pre-authorized and provided materials.
- Teach students using a diverse and systematic plan of lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, case studies, and independent or group projects.
- Administer and mark quizzes, assignments, exams, and other assessments to monitor and evaluate students’ progress according to guidelines and procedures.
- Provide feedback on student performance and arrange student feedback on the instructor, content, and facility at the end of each course.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs and individual circumstances in a multicultural environment.
- Resolve student complaints and concerns with a positive and professional attitude.
- Provide support to the admissions team with potential students who have questions about the program or future careers.
- Display an attitude of teamwork and problem-solving.

**Skills Required**:

- **Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sage 300, Quick Book and learning management systems(LMS) like Canvas.**:

- Excellent oral and written communication, presenting information so students understand and adapt to different learning styles.
- Professional business attire and interpersonal skills to act as a mentor and role model.
- Online teaching (training provided, but computer skills are essential)

**Qualifications (Must qualify)**
- Have **48 months** of work experience in the vocation **OR**:

- Have **36 months** of teaching experience in the vocation **AND** 24 months of work experience in the vocation **OR**:

- Have **24 months** of work experience in the vocation **AND**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s in accounting, finance or business from a Canadain University or its equivalent.
- Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent
- Member in good standing of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada is an asset.
- **Meet Instructor qualification standards as outlined in the Regulations to Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005**:

- **Must be available to teach on-campus from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 130 p.m. per the accepted schedule.**

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
