General Laborer

**General Laborer Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled, reliable general laborer for our 8:00 am to 4:30 pm shift. In this position, you will work alongside other employees in a team oriented environment, operating machinery and equipment related to metal fabrication and packaging product for delivery. All training will be done in house and employees are required to follow all facility health and safety regulations. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. **Employees who successfully complete their 3 month probation period, will receive a $1000 retention bonus.**

**General Laborer Duties and Responsibilities**
- Follow direction and instructions from supervisors and lead hands;
- Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts;
- Be able to follow and understand product order sheets;
- Unload material, keep accurate records of produced product, prepare and maintain work station;
- Follow all health and safety regulations when working in the facility or operating equipment;
- Ensure regulated and proper footwear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn;
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner;
- Safely operate a variety of tools including saws, grinders, and a range of hand tools to complete daily tasks;
- Provide assistance to co-workers as needed;
- Clean, inspect and prepare product for packaging;
- Ensure work station and tools are cleaned and stored properly;
**General Laborer Requirements and Qualifications**
- High school degree or equivalent educational experience;
- Posses a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation ;
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds;
- Forklift experience is considered an asset;
- Must be comfortable climbing up portable stairs to retrieve product;
- Positive attitude and work ethic;
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team;
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
