**CareCorp Senior Services are a trusted agency company who provide superior healthcare, food services, housekeeping and laundry service to long-term care facilities across BC. **We are looking for a dietary aide/ kitchen helper to join our amazing kitchen team in one of our beautiful long-term care facilities.**

**Previous experience in a long term care facility or with the senior community is **_preferred_** but not required**

**Facility Address**:Cascade Gardens - 3460 Kalyk Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5G 3B2
**Position Details**:Full-Time, Wednesday - Sunday; Wednesday - Thursday (0700-1500) / Saturday - Sunday (1130-1930)
**Compensation**:$20.97 per hour

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs all duties in relation to the serving and distribution of food. Ensures that food is served in accordance with the dietary requirements of the residents.
- Strips, racks, and washes items such as dishes, pots, pans and utensils; operates dishwashing machine; stacks clean dishes and utensils; sets, clears, and cleans dining tables.
- Makes beverages and food items such as tea, coffee, and toast; assembles items such as sandwiches and salads.
- Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and damp mopping floors, cleaning counter tops, sinks, machines and equipment and spot washing walls and splash areas; removes garbage as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Food Safe certificate
- WHIMS certificate.
- Excellent communication skills

**While the SSO is in place, you will be limited to working with only one employer and at only one (1) private long-term care hospital (facility), licensed long-term care facility, registered assisted living facility, stand-alone extended care hospital or provincial mental health facility. Unless regional clustering applies. **Regional clustering allows you to, within the same region and in agreement with the facility, hold a position as permanent with one (1) employer and hold a casual position with one (1) additional employer. You may hold only one (1) permanent position, one (1) additional casual position and must not work outside of your regional cluster.**
