Chung and Vander Doelen Engineering (CVD) is actively seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of **Project Manager, Excess Soils** to join the Inspection & Materials Testing and Environmental Team. This position includes both field and office work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The overall responsibilities for this position include:
**Responsibilities**:

- QP and Project manager for excess soil projects (Ontario Reg. 406/19) for the Inspection & Materials Testing department
- Preparing/reviewing the following: assessment and past uses report (APU), sampling and analysis plan (SAP), soil characterization report (SCR), excess soil destination report, and soil tracking
- Scheduling and coordinating field or on-site activities
- Inspecting and field screening during environmental remediation
- Collecting soil/groundwater samples
- Preparing reports, summarizing data, and drawings
- Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group
- Liaise between clients and contractors
- Assist environmental group with Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (in accordance with CSA Standards as well as Ontario Regulation 153/04)

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of environmental consulting is preferred
- Experience in managing projects and personnel
- Degree in Environmental Science/Geoscience or Engineering
- Current P.Geo. or P.Eng. Designation and in good standing is preferred
- Eligibility and willingness to become registered with Ontario Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks as a ‘Qualified Person’ for ESAs is required
- Superior communication skills, written, and spoken
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, while ensuring delivery within specific deadlines and budgets
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)

This position involves work related travel therefore, a valid driver’s license, insurance and personal vehicle is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated).

In return for your hard work and dedication, CVD offers a remuneration package made up of an annual salary and profit-sharing. In addition to your salary, you will receive comprehensive benefits.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
