Join the team at GSCI Advanced Photonics, a leading supplier of Night Vision and Thermal Imaging systems to Canadian and International Military and Law Enforcement customers. With over 30 years of experience, we pride ourselves on our ability to design, develop, and manufacture electro-optics systems that are used across the globe.
This position is not open for remote work, it is an in-office position at our headquarters in Woodbridge, ON.
Required experience: A formal Marketing, Communications or Business education or relevant qualification is preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience with B2Government Digital Marketing.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create engaging online content including videos, photos, graphics and communications (including but not limited to product imagery, brochures, press releases, etc)
- Create and maintain supporting materials for the sales team (video manuals, printed materials, etc)
- Maintain and update technical user manuals for our products
- Create newsletters and other marketing campaigns
- Update website content and layout as needed using Wordpress
- Continuously improve website functionality and design, increasing traffic to company pages and overall conversion
- Create visual materials and assist with planning for trade shows
- Manage and create content for all social media outlets, including community engagement
- Review and interpret site analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting
- Develop and implement SEO strategies
- Stay in regular contact with the technical/engineering departments to make sure all product information advertised online and in marketing material is correct
- Maintain a consistent brand image throughout all marketing material and activities
- Stay well informed of industry marketing strategies, digital marketing trends, implementing new changes and technologies to grow the company’s global presence
- Presenting recommendations on marketing strategy and content to the management team
- Other administrative duties as required
**What you bring to the team**:
- Experience in digital marketing and marketing strategy to Government customers
- A passion for constant improvement - always looking to do things better (both personally, as part of a team and for the company)
- Highly organized and excellent time management skills - you’re able to juggle multiple projects at once and adapt to change
- Deep understanding of digital marketing and brand awareness strategies
- Proven experience delivering a variety of digital assets, including rich media online ads, micro sites, and social media content.
- Experience with digital marketing and social media marketing in a niche market
- Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data.
- Content creation skills including photography, videography, video editing and graphic design.
- Experience using platforms such as: Wordpress, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator), Microsoft Office
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Strong business acumen and a well-rounded knowledge of the Defense marketplace and companies within the industry, or a background that will assist in easily understanding our unique market
