**Job Summary**: Unload trucks of incoming raw materials and putting away in warehouse. Load trucks to/from subs. Receive incoming shipments into CMS.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Must have a valid forklift certification
- Minimum 3-4 years forklift experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Ability to follow well defined procedures, with organization skills
- Ability to use computer inventory system; experience with CMS is an asset

**Essential Functions**:

- Receive inbound trucks (receiving components/sub-contractor parts/empty bins/steel coils/oils/etc.)
- Receive material into CMS
- Loading and unloading milk run trucks and creating packing slips for outgoing product
- Check customer portals as required
- Prepare/stage product for outgoing shipments. Load and ship product as per outgoing CMS picksheet
- Ensure material is put away safely into proper areas. Maintain empty bins location to ensure bin availability for production use
- Ensure that product is dispersed or consumed based on FIFO
- Provide back-up assistance for shipping/drop zone department as required
- Maintain and organize work area for smooth and efficient workplace and for safety measures
- Complete the necessary documentation; forklift checklist
- Ensure the safe operation of forklift at all times; abide by safety training and regulations
- Abide by all company policies including, but not limited to the following: health and safety, quality and environmental systems, human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c))

**Work Environment**:

- 100% indoors plant floor (PPE required)

**Decision Making and Authority**:

- Decision Making:

- Prioritizing between loading and offloading trucks or receiving into CMS
- On a functional basis this role has the following reporting relationships:

- Directly reports to the Warehouse Manager
- Recommendations:

- Where to send milk run truck
- Quantitative Measurable:

- Handling between 2-3 hundred bins/shift
- Loading and unloading approx. 15 trucks/shift

**Physical Demands**:

- Frequent requirement of handling heavy equipment (operation)
- Frequent need to give concentrated attention to surroundings
- Must be able to lift up the 35lbs
- Must be able to work with push/pull force of 50lbs or less

**Health and Safety**:

- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies, and procedures
- Must use or wear personal protective equipment and certain clothing as required by the company
