**We are currently looking to hire a Part Time and Casual Cooks to work in a Long Term Care setting.**

**The IOOF Seniors Homes Inc**. is an established and progressive charitable corporation providing accommodation and support services to seniors through a multi-facility continuum of care which includes a long term care home, supportive housing and life-lease housing.

**Qualifications**:

- **Graduate of a Culinary Management Program or Certification as a Cook and have Red Seal**:

- Safe Food Handling Certification and Smart Serve Certificate
- Grade twelve or equivalent;
- Two (2) years’ working experience cooking meals for large groups of people;
- An understanding of the Aging Process and how it applies to the dietary needs;
- Qualified knowledge of therapeutic diets;
- Good knowledge of Public Health sanitation methods in the handling of food;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Self motivated, organized and conscientious;

**Salary**: $22.34 per hour

Schedule:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Cooking for large groups: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Red Seal or Culinary Management Diploma (required)
- Safe Food Handling Certification (required)
- Smart Serve (preferred)
