Caneda Transport is seeking a 5-Ton Company Driver to join our team in Calgary, AB

The Local and Regional 5-Ton Company Driver is responsible for operating a 5-Ton Commercial Motor Vehicle transporting LTL. The position will be primarily local deliveries in the Calgary area, with the occasional work regionally in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. The Local and Regional Driver must understand that the Company operates in a changing environment, and that he or she must be responsive to change. As a result, new directives maybe added or deleted from the list of responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate 5-Ton company truck to transport freight safely and efficiently
- Responsible for the proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow for safe transportation of materials
- Customer Service
- Completing necessary paperwork
- Operate forklift and work in warehouse when required

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Air brakes (Q) endorsement preferred
- Able to drive Manual Transmission
- Experience strapping and securing loads
- Commercial driving experience required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
- Forklift license and experience considered a huge asset
- Values and prioritizes safety
- Successfully complete Caneda pre-screen requirements
